WHAT TO DO WHEN PRAYER SEEMS TO FAIL

At times in a Christian’s life, it seems as if God has given up on you

It seems God is no more listening, if feels you are all alone

One funny thing is reading and enjoying a story from a book about heroes of faith or men of healing and how God mightily used them

A quick study however shows that there is one point in their journey that there seemed to be total silence in their lives

This is what I personally call “times when prayer seems to fail”

Mind you!!! Prayer can never fail!! God’s word is so sure concerning his promise

He is sure to fulfill all His promises in His word, the Bible

But, what do you do, or how do you react in a situation to pray all the prayers you know how to pray, recite all the bible verses you can remember, and you remind God of all His promises concerning healing and deliverance but there seems to be no answer

That point in your life when you need God the most, that point in your life that you feel you have lived as holily and righteously as you can as compared to times before that period

That point in your life when you feel like giving up in the Christian faith

That point where you have sleepless nights and daydream about when God is going to answer

The point where Satan comes to you with the most cunning of ideas like “Is there even a God?”

That point where family and friends can do so little to help you

That point where trials and temptations are innumerable

That point where you feel God is leading you but you don’t know where to start from or how to do it

That point where you have prayed for spiritual gifts, but they are not manifesting

Is GOD dead? Malachi 3:16[For I am the Lord, I change not]

I believe the devil brings doubts in terms of our conversion

Are you really born again? Can you really stand? I he ever going to heal you?

These are the darkest times that can so easily make you backslide

If these things are from God, then we have every cause to rejoice, 1 Peter 1:7[That the trial of your faith, being precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ]

These times call for self-examination to see if we have erred God in any way and reconcile back unto him

I believe my GOD is able to heal the sick and mend the brokenhearted

Don’t ever give up cos like a friend always tell me “there is light at the end of the tunnel”

“I believe in miracles because I believe in GOD, and because I believe in GOD, I see miracles”

Our various personalities and upbringing in life have shaped us all in various ways. As a man of God once said, "we are the product of our experiences". Many things in life that have happened to us have either made us strong or weak, feeble or strong, even self-willed or dependent on God. We are all born into different homes with varying decisions to make everyday, different resources at our disposal and diverse personalities to demonstrate everyday. No man is an island and as such, we are bound to interface with each other everyday at the workplace, in the school or even in the home.
