DAWN OF A NEW DAY

Sooner or later the male foal turns into a jack and finally into a fully grown ass same as the female cub who grows into a sow and no sooner a fully grown mama bear. Even so, the child, who grows to become an adult

Our desire to stay young doesn’t mean our desires will come to pass. The rivers we crossed and the mountains we are climbing will not be the same forever because one day, our strength may fail us

No matter how dark the night is, definitely, the darkness will give way to light at dawn. Even friendships one day give way to goodbyes. The sea may roar but it must come still at the voice of the master.

The changes in the weather and the seasons gives much assurance that nothing really lasts forever. The beginning of a thing is good but one must always remember it will come to an end

Indeed we have been through a lot these past years. Only our Creator knows the tears we have cried, the sorrows and hardships we have endured, the friends we have made, the decisions we have made

The turns we have taken, the roads we have traversed, the loneliness we have endured, the crossroads we have crossed, the moments of despair we didn’t think we will overcome

The moments of laughter and joy we never wanted to end, the times spent with families and dear ones, the moments of loving and being loved, the moments of achievements and hope

A new dawn approaches and is here. A dawn of self-reflection and thought-provoking questions being asked. Indeed many were the things we wanted to do, achieve and gain. Many may have been the unfulfilled resolutions, dreams and aspirations

Many were the mistakes we made, many were the lives we couldn’t impact, and many are the souls that ended up in hell because we failed to open our mouths to speak of the Saviour’s love

The new dawn approaches with its own struggles, problems and prospects. There is a decision to be made, dear reader, whether to continue in your routine of the past years which has brought you to where you are today or to turn a new leaf in honesty and not in hypocrisy

It doesn’t promise a safe ride as the oceans of this world are daily raging, seeking to swallow the depressed and weak. The pressures are going to mount, the tough decisions are going to be made once more, and new people will be seeking a place in your life as old friends seek to establish themselves in yours

The unpleasant is going to rise once more, you will be a year older very soon and the responsibilities are going to increase. More people will be looking up to you as more people will also look at you hoping to see you fall

In the midst of all this, let your hope be firmly rooted in this “that you will safely pass over to the other side.” The promise is not that you will not pass through the troublous oceans of this world again, but this, that the master of the ocean, wind and sea is in your boat safely and calmly asleep

His word is sure, firm and unbreakable. He says to you at the start of the new dawn and new day, “LET US PASS OVER TO THE OTHERSIDE.” He has a purpose and a plan for your life. He is faithful who has begun a good work in you and He will surely accomplish it. It is rather your choice to join Him or not hand in hand to the other side

Don’t rest on the storms that will meet you in the way or the troublous winds of the south or the fiery fishes in the sea or the pirates that ravage people on the sea but look unto Jesus, the captain of your soul. He will safely land you on the other side

Despair may come, hopelessness may set in because it might seem like He doesn’t care since He is asleep in the hinder part of your ship, don’t fret, dear one, because His word is as sure as the reality of eternity. Rest safely in His loving arms

This new dawn, commit your ways to the Lord, ask the Saviour to help you because your strength has limitations, to comfort you in your trying times, strengthen and keep you when your faith is failing, indeed, He is willing to aid you, and He will carry you through

If you don’t know this master of the waves and the sea, you have an opportunity to begin afresh with Him. Repent of your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shall be saved
